My Story

How I got to where I am today

Ever since I was a kid, storytelling has been my passion. I started writing at a young age in my childhood diary, documenting life experiences from crushes to memorable family vacations. As I grew older, I convinced myself that writing wasn’t for me, perhaps influenced by the hundreds of English essays I was assigned while in school. After losing half of my senior year to a global pandemic, I had no idea what the future had in store. I started a new chapter at Johnson & Wales University with an undeclared major until I wrote a “This I Believe” essay in my Rhetoric Composition class. It reignited the joy I once found in writing, leading me to change my major to digital media and communications. Since then, my love for storytelling has only grown stronger, and the opportunities I’ve been granted have solidified my decision. Along the way, I’ve also developed an interest in content creation, video editing, and social media management. I’m eager to learn more and continue to grow as a multimedia professional.
